To be willing to give professional assistance someone who calls for help, anytime and anywhere. That is the mission of the Oceanside Fire Department. Its members stand ready 24 hours per day and 365 days per year to come to the aid, protection and comfort of our community. This is the duty to which we have been called and it is the oath we have taken. Professionalism is a matter of personal character, not compensation. Our only wages are in the form of giving back to our community.

This site is intended to give our community some insight into the operations of the Oceanside FD and District. We will try to keep you up to date on what's going on in your department and district. You'll be able to learn important information and tips to help protect you and your family. We'll provide an insight into district operations to help you understand where your tax dollars are being spent and the services you are receiving. We’ll even provide a look at how your fire department works and what it takes to be a member of the OFD.

If the site is not always current or not the best looking web site you’ve seen please bear with us, after all our expertise is in the area of firefighting and emergency medical service not web design, but we’re getting better. And while we will promise to keep things current and interesting you can always contact us and ask any questions you wish.

Oh, by the way, don’t forget that the Board of Fire Commissioners meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month on the second floor of headquarters, located at 65 Foxhurst Road. The meetings are open to the general public and are actually fairly interesting, sometimes.
